OPASTCO Exhibitors: Show Your Support for FRED  Looking for a way to increase foot traffic at your trade show booth this summer?  One way is to purchase FRED balloons that will be placed at your booth.  FRED provides OPASTCO members with more than $170,000 in scholarships, grants and awards each year.  By purchasing balloons, you show OPASTCO members that you support their foundation.  The cost is $50 per balloon or 10 balloons for $300.

FRED Night with the Minnesota Twins
with Tailgating Party at Brit’s Pub

Grab your hat and glove and meet FRED for an evening of Twins baseball action.   Your evening will start off with a tailgating party at Brit’s Pub, a corner of the UK right in the heart of Minneapolis.  Located a block from the convention hotel, Brit's is the quintessential English pub with rich, dark wood interior, making it the perfect place to enjoy a British beer or cocktail as you relax with all of your OPASTCO friends.  On the menu will be all your favourite English-inspired hors d'oeuvres, including Brit’s famous fish and chips. Take in views of Nicollet Mall, Peavey Plaza and the Garden Park.  Afterward, head over to the ballpark where the Minnesota Twins take on the Baltimore Orioles.  Target Field, the new world class home of Twins, has been called spectacular and intimate with breathtaking views and a staggering array of special features.  Help us raise funds for programs by joining FRED for an entertaining summer evening of baseball fun.  

Ticket Information: Tickets include a tailgating party with hosted bars and appetizers, shuttle bus transportation and a ticket to the Twins game.  Reserve your tickets through the OPASTCO registration form or through FRED directly.  In the event that the game is canceled due to weather, other evening activities will be planned accordingly.  No refunds will be issued.    

Reserved Tables: If you would like to guarantee seating for your party at the reception, please sign up for a reserved table for a donation of $750.  Tables are limited, reserved on a first-come, first-served basis and seat 10 people.  Tickets to the event are extra.  Your table reservation is also considered a sponsorship for the shuttle bus transportation.

A Night at Epcot®

The FRED event this January was all about flexibility, value and family fun!  Guests arrived at Epcot® with their “After 4:00 PM” park tickets on Monday, January 16.  They enjoyed a hospitality suite in the American Adventure Living Room. A split reception was held in Italy and France with cocktails and desserts.

The grand finale of the evening included a private, reserved viewing of IllumiNations, Reflections of Earth, an inspirational nighttime spectacular with surprises for the entire family.  Seen atop the World Showcase Lagoon, IllumiNations, Reflections of Earth was a live pyrotechnic show that brings together the past, present and future of our planet and its colorful nations.  Guests experienced breathtaking fireworks, brilliant bursts of fire, laserlight effects, dramatic fountain barges, a stirring musical score and the world's first spherical video display system—the 350,000-pound Earth Globe.
